Parts Gluing
Gluing is a common activity in many manufacturing and mass production activities. In our company we hate it because it is anti Design For Manufacturing principle oriented. Gluing is difficult to control because it is based on liquid and not on solid, so manipulating material is more difficult and less predictable: it easily generate defectives which can hardly be corrected.
If you can, it is always better to avoid involving gluing in your manufacturing process. Yet, sometimes gluing may be unavoidable: you may have no choice than using gluing in a manufacturing process
Our Solutions
Although we hate gluing process, we have already dealt with several project involving gluing. We have different possibilities to apply gluing on one or several parts. It can be done manually with a paint brush, with a stick but the best is to use a controlled syringe pump which allow to control the flow of liquid being deposited on surface.
Different type of glue can be used for your product. We always use Rohs compliant glues to make sure substances of very high concern are not present in the glue we use.
